Biography
Laura Fine is a Democratic politician who has served in the Illinois State Senate representing the 9th district since 2019, representing parts of Chicago and several North Shore suburbs in Cook County. She previously served in the Illinois House of Representatives from the 17th district from 2013 to 2019. Fine announced her candidacy for Illinois's 9th U.S. House district in 2025, seeking to succeed Representative Jan Schakowsky.
